ESTATE CLERK

LLF LAWYERS LLP is seeking a dynamic, energetic professional Estates Clerk with a minimum of five years experience, to join our Peterborough team.

The ideal candidate will be able to handle the administration of estates with minimal supervision, including:

  • Obtain estate information from clients and institutions;
  • Prepare and manage Certificate of Appointment of Estate Trustee applications;
  • Serving and filing documents with Court;
  • Assist with life insurance claims and pension/employee benefits;
  • Assist clients to liquidate or transfer assets;
  • Assist clients to file income tax returns for the deceased/estate and obtain CRA clearances; and
  • Preparing correspondence and other routine documents

REAL ESTATE/MUNICIPAL LAW CLERK

LLF LAWYERS LLP seeks a Real Estate/Municipal Law Clerk to join our growing Peterborough team.

The ideal candidate will be able to handle commercial and residential real estate transactions from start to finish, including drafting documents and correspondence, billing and reporting.   Experience working with builders and developers is an asset.

The successful candidate must have the following skill set:

  • An ability to work independently, accurately and efficiently on multiple files simultaneously;
  • Ability to discern priority of assigned tasks and to act accordingly;
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Unity Practice Management, Teraview/E-Reg and Unity Accounting.
