What Share Capital Social Clubs Need to Know
Ontario social clubs that were incorporated with share capital under the Corporations Act, such as golf clubs and curling clubs, were given five years from ONCA`s proclamation on October 19, 2021 to choose a new structure. That window closes on October 19, 2026, and clubs that have not continued under a different statute by then will be automatically dissolved. A graduate of New England Law | Boston, Jim began his legal career with Howell Fleming LLP in Peterborough in 2009 before joining LLF Lawyers in 2012. He became a Partner of the firm in 2019.
