LLF LAWYERS is pleased to announce the admission to partnership of EMMET CONNOLLY. Emmet joined the firm as an associate in 2006, and has become an integral member of the corporate commercial practice group.

LLF Lawyers and Howell Fleming will be combining law practices in 2012 to form the largest full-service law firm in the region. The combined law practice will continue under the LLF Lawyers name.

The partners and staff of LLF LAWYERS are pleased to announce Chris Russell, BCom (Hons), LL.B., has joined our firm. A graduate of the University of Victoria, Chris began practicing commercial litigation in Vancouver in 1997. Now living in Peterborough and admitted to the Bar of Ontario, Chris will lead the commercial litigation practice of LLF.

LLF Lawyers makes donation of $10,000 to Peterborough's Market Hall Performing Arts Centre's Community Fundraising Campaign, in support of its community cultural endeavours and recognize Bill Kimball for his leading role in our arts community.

Nine staff members and five lawyers made up the LLF Lawyers building team which participated in an “Adopt-A-Day” for Habitat for Humanity at their Jane Street construction site in Peterborough. The team enjoyed their day of off-loading drywall, finishing up insulation and vapour barrier, and installing doors as well as the last of the windows. Thank you to Subway for our tasty lunch and to SNAP Peterborough for their promotion of this very worthwhile day.

LLF Lawyers’ makes a supporting donation of $25,000 to the $475,000 gift made by the Dysart Foundation to PRHC Foundation’s Closer Campaign. PRHC’s new radiation treatment centre is to be named in honour of the late Norm & Jessie Dysart, in recognition of their life-long commitment to community service.

A graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School and Trent University, Emily will practice with the Real Estate and Development Group of LLF LAWYERS. A member of Curve Lake First Nation, Emily is well known in the Peterborough region, has extensive interests in her community and will be a valued addition to LLF.
